April 16, 2015 – ROSEMOUNT, Minn. — THEAQ Publishing today announced that pre-orders of the publication of Not Everyone Likes Peas — the first children’s book by author Diana Lee Sherman — are available on their website in advance of a May 2015 release.
The book introduces us to Abigail, a young child who loves peas, but discovers during lunch that her friend hates peas. She becomes upset and with help from her loving mother, she discovers that it is okay to be different. This engaging story reaffirms at a young age that it is okay for each of us to be unique.
“The intent of this book is to give children permission to be diversified and accept others who don’t share their interests,” said Sherman. “A fun aspect about the title is that it has become a mantra with my family and friends when we don’t like the same things. Anytime we don’t agree, we just say, ‘Well, you know, not everyone likes peas!’”
